The Politics is Overwhelming

I’ve always been vocal about my political stance. My social media connections (“friends”) know it, my actual friends know it, my relatives know it, even most of my blog readers know it (except if you’re new then hello, I’m vocal).

The thing is, I’m only 28 years old. Statistically, I still have a whole life ahead of me. I’m not some 60 or 70 or 80++ year old who can easily say that I’ve lived my life already so I don’t really care about what’s currently happening or what might happen in the next 5 or 10 years.

And because I’m young and I do have a heart (and confidently beautiful… lmao), I cannot just stand idly by while these stupid politicians and this stupid administration ruin the present and future of this nation.

Plus, I care… a lot.

Now, I’m not a big fan of this country and its people. I actually have never been. We are all a bunch of hypocritical, apathetic idiots here. Most Filipinos wouldn’t really give a damn about what’s going on in the country not unless they’re directly affected.

And that’s just stupid because it shows what kind of person you truly are… and that person’s not pretty. So I’m here and I’m gonna continue to be vocal and nobody can silence me, not even threats from the “father” of this country himself.

I don’t appreciate being branded as toxic just because I have a political stance and I’m not afraid to air that out for the world to see. I don’t appreciate being referred to as a “fake woke millennial” just because I’ve apparently never experienced enough shit in my life to be capable of having an acceptable political opinion.

The politics may be a bit overwhelming sometimes and I may need to take a breather once in a while but that’s never gonna stop me from holding these leaders accountable for their incompetence and irresponsbility.

Their misguided and idiotic way of handling this current pandemic is just through the roof and I’m not okay with that. Neither should you.

Learn how to stand up for yourself, for your country, and for your fellow citizens. We are fighting because we want what’s best for you and for the rest of the Filipino people. We deserve nothing less.

  2. UGH, yes. Especially these past few days!! These are trying times and politics is so frustrating and toxic but, hey, it affects all of us so we have to actually give a shit about it. I’d rather be branded as “toxic” or “fake woke” than be ignorant and fake positive. Stay safe and vigilant!

    1. I can never not be affected by politics!!! Minsan, I just feel like not caring, you know? Kasi it gets to be too much. But ugh, at the end of the day, I still do. Stay safe to you, too!! 🙂
